Don't miss the Cathedral of Lima downtown and try the local ceviche and lomo saltado with a pisco sour drink on one of the many outdoor patios.

As you make your way to Machu-Pichu, stop to enjoy the coutryside scenery and visit with the local people.

Eye of the Jaguar is one of the longest zip lines in the world! Try it out if you dare. The mountains are filled with adventures such as hikes, bungee jumping, zip lines, kayaking, sandboarding, biking and amazon jungle tours.

In the ruins of Machu-Pichu you will see alpacas roaming everywhere. These creatures also help to "mow the lawn" on the mountain.

If you turn your head to the right, the mountain will look like a face, the top peak being the nose. The nose of the face is the top of Huayna Pichu, a grousome 1.2 miles to the top. Make sure to buy tickets early, there are usually two times in the morning available each day. I recommend a bus to the top, unless you love winding roads on a steep mountain.

Local shepherds raise their sheep. Some of the local cuisine includes alpaca and guinea pigs (whole!).

4X4 tours are available to ride through the countryside crossing over boulders and water to arrive to a beautiful lake.

Shopping and coffee shops mixed with local culture and beautiful squares. If you're a chocolate lover, don't miss the museum.

The hike to Huayna Pichu is no joke. Make sure to bring sturdy shoes with gool soles, hiking boots are the best. The view at the top is incredible and the air you breathe the freshest. The peaks of the alps are like sharks teeth coming out of the ground above and around you. Get here early and enjoy your time browsing through the ruins and hearing stories about each room.
